We are a group of retired public employees, retired from the state, county, city, and municipal governments of the State of Montana.

Our members include:

• Public Employees' Retirement System - {State and Municiple (city & county) Governments & School employees (other than teachers)} (PERS)
• Game Wardens' and Peace Officers' Retirement System (GWPORS)
• Sheriffs' Retirement System (SRS)
• Judges' Retirement System (JRS)
• Highway Patrol Officers' Retirement System (HPORS)
• Municipal Police Officers' Retirement System (MPORS)
• Firefighters' Unified Retirement System (FURS)
• Volunteer Firefighters Compensation Act (VFCA)

Benefits are a big issue for retirees. Some of our older retirees are living on pensions which do not take care of their basic needs. We take these issues to our legislature.

Health care is an issue which we monitor and try to make changes. Many pensions do not even cover the new insurance premiums.

We also monitor new legislation or modification to existing laws that may affect our members.

Keeping our membership informed of the issues which affects them is our concern. When an issue comes up that affects retirees we try to let you know and work toward a better life for all of us!
